Camlıca Villa Project
In the landscape design of Camlıca Villa, the primary approach has been to establish a holistic open space composition that reinforces architectural simplicity through a natural material language. Within the project, travertine is not merely used as a paving material; it is treated as the main design element, extending across walls, steps, seating elements, and planter details. This continuity lends the space a timeless and serene character, while the textural quality of natural stone is carefully balanced with the planting composition.

One of the most defining layers of the project is the landscape lighting design, conceived to ensure continuity between day and night. While the light tones of travertine surfaces and the richness of planting textures come to the forefront under natural daylight, the space transforms after dark through linear ground lighting, concealed LED details beneath steps, and uplighting beneath trees, creating a second atmospheric layer.
Light compositions on vertical surfaces and focal elements such as fire pits redefine the open space as more than just a terrace, turning it into a living stage actively used during evening hours. Here, lighting goes beyond a technical necessity; it is conceived as an integral design language that unifies architecture and landscape, defines spatial volume, and enhances the emotional experience of the place.
