Ordu Belde Houses
The Belde Evler Residential Project is defined by a holistic open space composition that draws reference from Ordu’s strong geographical relationship with the coastline and extends the characteristic lines of the architectural masses into the landscape. The foundation of the design lies in architectural axes that follow the orientation and façade articulation of the buildings. These axes not only define circulation, but also continue through paving patterns, green bands, and seating elements, forming the primary geometric backbone of the landscape language. The hardscape composition, shaped by angular and fragmented surfaces, is balanced with lawns and groundcover areas, resulting in a spatial composition that is both precise and fluid.

In the project, the contrast between paving materials and the green texture creates a minimal yet powerful design effect. Linear walkways, defined lawn islands, and rhythmic tree alignments enhance spatial legibility, while seating elements and planted edges establish soft transitions between public and semi-private areas.
Plant selection prioritizes species adapted to the Black Sea climate, ensuring year-round visual presence, while seasonal color variations contribute to the dynamism of the space. As a result, the landscape is conceived not as a background that complements architecture, but as an active living environment that reinterprets its geometry on the ground plane, expressing a strong identity through a refined and minimal language.
