The Palaces of Istanbul
Located in Küçükçekmece–Halkalı and encompassing a 97,300 m² landscape area, The Palaces of Istanbul presents a holistic open space system structured around a water spine. The canal, which originates in Bosphorus City and defines the concept of a dual-sided settlement, is extended in this project for 350 meters, ensuring spatial continuity.
The double promenade running along the canal accommodates jogging and walking functions while also creating spaces for social interaction. Waterfront residences—including mansions, apartment blocks, and traditional villa typologies—are directly integrated with the landscape, supported by semi-private gardens and private piers.
The water axis functions not merely as a visual element, but as the primary organizational framework of the settlement.

In the planting design, a woodland character is emphasized, with dense tree cover balancing the scale of the high-rise blocks. The 81-meter towers are positioned around a central square where the water element terminates, and this focal point is defined through the interplay of hardscape, water surfaces, and green areas.
Squares are designed to accommodate gathering and public use scenarios, with uninterrupted pedestrian access provided through the woodland. Linear tree alignments reinforce perspective, while shrub groups and terraced lawns introduce a layered spatial depth.
In this project, the landscape is not conceived as a passive background supporting the architectural theme, but as the primary spatial framework that guides everyday life.
