Lagoon İstanbul
Lagoon Istanbul presents a holistic living scenario where residential typology is reinterpreted through the tranquility of water, with landscape forming the primary structural backbone. At the heart of the project, a series of interconnected biological ponds are not merely passive elements separating building clusters, but active ecosystems that surround residential blocks and bring life to their core.
Water surfaces merge with pedestrian promenades, wooden decks, and waterfront terraces to create micro-scale recreational moments. Supported by reed beds and shading vegetation, this biological water network maintains ecological balance while offering users an immersive “water garden settlement” experience. Here, water is not just a landscape element; it is the defining character that shapes the rhythm of everyday life.

In the site plan, the lagoon line acts as a blue-green spine connecting the phases and centers all social amenities along this flow. Uninterrupted walking and cycling paths running parallel to the water's edge transform into a spatial adventure with the dynamic perspectives offered by the bridge crossings. While recreational areas are oriented directly towards the water view, the balance between private gardens and social areas is maintained through a clever privacy design achieved with plant buffers and elegant elevation differences. Minimal intervention in the topography is integrated with natural stone fortifications and terracing that supports the rhythm of the water. Thus, the landscape is the main design DNA of the project, blending climatic comfort, social interaction, and ecological sustainability.
